Event Description

The Whiffenpoofs of 2017* (more info below) perform a full set of songs! Opening act by "Boh Re Mi," Baltimore's premier co-ed a cappella group!
The Whiffenpoofs are the oldest collegiate a cappella group in America and were founded in 1909 at Yale University. Since then, they've appeared on Saturday Night Live, Glee, Gilmore Girls, The West Wing, Jeopardy, The Today Show, 60 Minutes, The Sing-Off, and many other shows, movies, and commercials, and the Whiffenpoof Song has been covered by artists ranging from Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong to Elvis Presley and Rudy Vallee, among countless others. Today, they are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (meaning that a significant portion of the income generated from their concerts goes directly to our outreach efforts both locally in New Haven and internationally) consisting of 14 male singers who take the year off of school to travel the world singing for presidents, royalty, schoolchildren, company events, television programs, movies, charity events, music festivals, and much more. They sing songs in every genre ranging from jazz to rock to pop to soul. Check out their website, facebook page, instagram, and/or twitter for more info:
